We've already lined up some superb programs in Oregon, Washington and western British Columbia, but we welcome additional suggestions. Below is the current working list and some wishes. At their heart, these are stories of people changing the story of how to live — practical, psychological, spiritual, social. Program content is non-commercial, and oriented toward individual, family and small group projects and perspectives.

Working List

• Backyard sustainability update, food-sharing garden, neighborhood-scale community gardens, gleaning
• Aprovecho Sustainability Center, pedal-powered machinery
• Eco-sensible house update, existing homes become co-housing, eco-apartment house, straw bale home, tiny houses
• Simple living, tool library, depaving, neighborhood emergency preparedness, local investment clearinghouse

Wishes

• Urban gardening in small spaces
• Alternatives to costly medical care
• Stories of cooperation, mutual aid and creativity while navigating "the long emergency"
• Arts celebrating sustainable and local
• Reskilling projects

 

 

Parking for the mobile studio

Got a place we can safely park en route, primarily along the I-5 corridor? The mobile studio is a 29 foot RV. It is self-contained (with a smaller version of our home off-grid solar system), but water and power are welcome pluses. As are pointers to local natural foods groceries and restaurants, post office, etc.

Financial Contributions

Click at left. Your dollars will go toward the trip's out-of-pocket expenses, a skinny $2 per mile for the 3000-mile journey (estimated). Peak Moment TV is supported by friends and viewers like yourself. We are deeply grateful.
